E-Mail Marketing With Lists — Survey Results

by John Soares on June 21, 2010

I found Paul Cunningham and his Blogging Teacher site recently on the Third Tribe Marketing forum.

Glad I did, because he’s released a free 14-page report with detailed analysis from 30 bloggers polled on the Third Tribe Marketing forum and on Darren Rowse’s Problogger forum on how, why, and with what success they use e-mail marketing:

Inside you’ll learn:

  • Which is the most popular email marketing service
  • What are the leading uses of email marketing
  • The biggest challenges encountered with email marketing
  • The techniques these bloggers use to attract subscribers
  • How often the survey respondents send emails to their lists
  • And other interesting information

Once again this is a free report, no opt-in required to download it, and you are free to share it with anyone you wish.

This is an excellent resource for those who already have lists and those who are considering creating one. You can also share it with anyone as long as you give Paul proper credit.

Dude! What an amazing find John, thank you so much for referring us to this. Checking it out now, your timing could not have been better as I will be starting to build my list by the end of this month.
Thanks John, and thanks for your ongoing support over at my blog.
Really appreciated.
Actually I would love your opinion on whether you thnk I should sell or give away the ebook? I only ask because I have had a few readers say how they cant wait to buy me ebook, obviously not realising I intend to give it away.
Maybe a short version for subscribers and a full on detailed one to sell?

Alex, I’m glad you’re getting good use from Paul’s survey. He did a bang-up job with it, and it looks spiffy too.

I was just at your site and I can’t see anything obvious about your e-book. I think if you have people willing to pay you for it, then you should sell it, but I don’t really know the details.

You can discuss here if you want, but feel free to DM me on Twitter, or you can e-mail me: johnsoares88 at gmail.com.
